B1 2024

Sporty B1 2025

The Sporty B1 is back, and you’re invited! Join us on Friday, June 20 in Beervelde Park for a Sports Festival that’s not all about sports. That’s right: with six vibrant themed stages (with live DJs!) to choose from, there’s something for everyone (and every energy level) – from adrenaline-fueled challenges to laidback creative workshops.

This wonderful afternoon will be split into two activity rounds, each 1.5 hours long. Pick one stage per round (you’ll find all stage and activity information below). Spaces are limited per stage, so register early. We’ll also provide lunch, post-activity aperitifs, festival-style food, an open bar, and an epic party featuring… you? Yup, the DJ Contest is back!

Whether you’ll be joining us all day, just for your favorite parts, or you sadly can’t make it (☹), please let us know by Wednesday, June 11. Want to apply for the DJ Contest while you’re at it? You can do so here by Friday, May 30. The top 3 DJs (voted in June) will light up the stage!

Overview: stages and activities

Adrenaline Stage

For the thrill-seekers. You’ll choose one of two powerful combos.
Participants: up to 100 per combo

Fire walk & ice bath
Walk barefoot over hot coals (yes, really!), learn how to overcome your fears and boost your mental strength. Then, cool down with a refreshing ice bath combined with breathing exercises. Ready to increase your resilience?

The Beast & Sky-Jump
The Beast is a giant inflatable obstacle course packed with slides, jumps, climbs, and lots of laughs. Afterwards, it’s time for Sky-Jump: a free fall from 60 (!) meters. You’ll land safely, thanks to an innovative braking system, but the thrill is (very) real.

Disclaimer:
These are INTENSE experiences. Not recommended for people with heart, joint, or balance issues, or during pregnancy. Not sure if it’s right for you? Please check with your doctor first.

Battle Stage

For the competitive souls among us. You’ll rotate through all four activities.
Participants: up to 300 in total

Laser shooting
Like paintball, but cleaner! No projectiles, just beams of light and sharp concentration. Use a laser rifle to test your aim and focus in missions like ‘Capture the Flag’ or ‘Last One Standing’.

Tag Rugby
In this fast-paced and tackle-free version of rugby, pulling a tag off your opponent is all it takes. It’s all about quick moves, team spirit, and staying one step ahead.

Breakdance
Get down (literally) with spins, freezes, and footwork in this high-energy dance style from hip-hop culture. We’ve got the beats, you’ve got the moves.

Panna Soccer
Street football at its finest. Outsmart your opponent with tricks, speed, and flair, and go for that ultimate move: the panna (passing the ball through their legs).

Creative Stage

For anyone with a creative spark (or those curious to find it). Pick two out of four hands-on workshops.
Participants: up to 40 per activity

Graffiti
Learn how to spray like a pro using stencils and freestyle techniques. A bold, colorful way to express yourself. No dodgy alleyways required.

Ice sculpting
Chisel and carve your own frosty masterpiece. It’ll melt, but that’s part of the magic.

Trombone workshop
Slide into the world of brass, regardless of your trombone skills (or lung capacity). You’ll learn the basic technique, the proper breathwork, the right posture and how to play in an ensemble.

Watercolor painting
Play with pigment, water, and light in this mellow painting session. Relaxing, creative, and surprisingly soothing.

Energy Stage

For anyone who loves an energy boost! You’ll take part in both activities (each lasting 45 minutes).
Participants: up to 250 in total

Haka workshop
Learn the powerful group dance from New Zealand that combines movement, chanting, rhythm, and expression. It’s all about energy, unity, and team spirit.

Energizer
An energizer is a short, high-energy activity designed to fire you up – physically and mentally. They’re fun, easy, and playful. Great for shaking off tension, increasing concentration, and boosting group connection.

Team Stage

For fans of classic team sports. You’ll join all activities, rotating during the round.
Participants: up to 300 in total

Hockey
Fast-paced, tactical, and full of action. Hockey is a globally popular team sport that demands coordination, quick thinking, and smooth teamwork.

Korfball
A sport that hails from the Netherlands, where the aim is to score by throwing a ball into a basket. You can’t run with the ball, so teamwork is key. Everyone attacks and defends, while keeping fair play and fun in mind.

Ultimate Frisbee
Throw, catch, and sprint your way down the field, but only when you’re not holding the disc! Ultimate Frisbee is fast and self-refereed, meaning fair play and respect are built into the game.

YOU.FO
Lacrosse, frisbee and tennis meet each other in this futuristic Dutch sport. Launch an aerodynamic ring using special sticks, think strategically, and – most importantly – enjoy the guaranteed dose of fun.

Whoosah Stage

For those who like to relax mindfully. You’ll choose two out of four calming sessions.
Participants: up to 75 people per activity

Yoga for office workers
Loosen up with simple stretches targeting your neck, shoulders, and back – perfect for anyone who spends their days behind a desk. Relax, refocus, and recharge.

Breathwork initiation
Breathe in. Breathe out. Learn easy techniques to calm the mind, ease physical and mental tension, and boost your energy, one breath at a time.

Body percussion
Make music using just your body! Clap, stomp, tap and groove your way towards rhythm, teamwork and fun.

Pilates
Strengthen your core, improve your posture, and move with ease. This low-impact workout is great for staying strong, flexible, and pain-free.

Will you bring your own delaware T-shirt? *

We’ll be providing a sports T-shirt for participants – the same black model as used in previous editions. To keep things sustainable, we kindly ask that only those who don’t already have one (or whose shirt no longer fits or is worn out) request a new one.
